Youth

Saint Paul Youth Ministry is structured into seven committees: social, service, communication, liturgy/prayer, faith-sharing/formation, food/event support and fundraising. As a teen, you can participate in all or any of the committees or simply join as a general member (which means you want to participate in YM, but you are just not sure what you want to do).

YM Committee What you could do
Social Help plan monthly YM social activity, outing or gathering with area youth groups. Different ways to participate: select/create themes, games, music for event.
Service Help plan Service Projects to support local, national or international communities/causes. Participate in service projects.
Communication Create flyers and other forms of communication (signs/bulletin notices/information for the YM web site) to help market YM social events, service projects, outings or other YM events. Create a YM newsletter.
Food / Event Support YM food support includes: create food list, deliver, set-up and/or clean-up food at YM event. Plan and perform YM event set-up/clean-up.
Liturgy / Prayer Help organize prayer requests, intercessory prayers and YM participation in the 5:00 PM Sunday Mass. Participate in the 5:00 Mass as a lector, usher, greeter, or reading the Prayers of the Faithful.
Faith-Sharing / Formation Plan and/or participate in LIFE Nights, retreats, and small-group faith sharing. LIFE Nights are programs put on by teens that promote a Christian message or give those attending an opportunity to discuss a topic. There are different ways to participate in a LIFE Night: decorate, select music, design costumes/sets, write skits, act in skits, research topic, or create discussion questions.
Fundraising Help plan fundraising programs to support YM events and activities. Participate in fundraising event.
