Communication Committee
Coordinator: Making sure events on the calendar have proper marketing; managing the communication requests from other committees
Researcher: Researching sites to be included as a link in our web site or newsletter
Reporter: Research and write-up content on current teen issues or faith topics to be included in the web site or newsletter. Ex. www.nbc.com/tmyk (monthly)
Family Quiz Questions: Coming up with and printing new questions each week or every two weeks for the YM table in the Narthex or the bulletin
Creative Writing/Displays: Creating fliers, bulletin blurbs, or Narthex displays for upcoming events
Web coordinator: Collect articles and researched links to post on website
RSVP coordinator: Track RSVPs for all events
Social Committee
Coordinator: Plan a few social events throughout the year; contact the food coordinator with food list for the social event; contact the communication committee with communication needs for the social event
Support person for social events: Come up with new ideas; assist in making the socials happen; be a chaperone
Food / Event Support
Coordinator: Generate food and supplies list for event and call people on food list to provide food items.
Setup/Cleanup: Arrive 1 hour before an event to setup or come at the end of event to cleanup, usually 1 hour
Faith Sharing / Formation
(Coordinators: Steve Reeves / Sharon Casey - Lead Wed. meetings with teens and develop formation programs)
Support people for the faith-based educational programs
Help plan a program: Meet a few times with the kids in the evening to help plan the event (usually involves coming up with an ice breaker, a short skit, a message, discussion questions, and a favor related to the topic)
Providing setup or artistic talent for any decorations
Attend the event and help it run smoothly
Lead a faith sharing session/Bible Study
Service Committee
Coordinator for service projects: Plan a few service projects through out the year.
Support person for service projects: Be on a call list to participate as an adult supervisor in a service project
Fundraising Committee
Coordinators work with list of folks who volunteered for fundraising
Mentoring/Training
1. Core Team members: Work with teens 2 Wednesdays a month at PM meetings
2. Training Coordinator: Point of contact for faith journey training program
Parents of HS teens Meeting
Coordinator: arrange for a speaker or discussion forum for the year (8)
Support person: help put together any handouts; get gift for speaker |
